I need a lens with a little extra reach than my Nikon 55-200mm f4-5.6G ED AF-S DX that i bought when I got my D40. I take most pictures of sport and wildlife. I was thinking about getting something with 300mm. I know tamron and sigma make 300mm lenses with AF-S that the D40 needs to auto focus. I have 315 bucks to spend on a lens and i am totally without a clue. Which lens should get me the extra reach without breaking the bank or sacrificing quality??
thanks alot
There is a AF-S 70-300 mm VR which would be perfect, but you may have to sell the 55-200 and that with your 315 bux, might be able to afford this nice lens. I use on when shooting air shows with excellent results
