Nikon SB-600 flash problem?

My SB-600 flash is not working as before. I have never dropped it or anything like that. All of a sudden the flash is inconsistent such as it goes off only once in about 10 shots. I shoot at night clubs so an external flash is a must.
I was thinking I may have burnt out the bulb but for having it less then 2 months I believe that that could not have been the problem.
Someone help please, I don't have the cash to buy another one or fix it for that matter!!!

All answers will be deeply appreciated.

I don't think the bulb burnt out, after 5-10 shots with your sb600, if you shot continuously. Give it a rest! Let it cool down, my friend's sb600 started to heat up and I could smell it from a distance :O
