can i use a wireless flash with a pentax k110d even though there isnt a setting for it?

i do a lot of skating photography so a wireless flash is essential for me to use, but i done want to invest a lot of money into it if it's just not going to work

Sure you can... an Ebay radio trigger in your hot shoe, and however many receivers and flashes you need. You won't be using P-TTL control, it will all have to be done manually, but that isn't a big deal.

You have to shoot the camera in manual mode to make this work. No auto everything mode, as it won't work with this sort of flash system.

You don't need a setting to use wireless flashes. If you do the connections right, everything will work fine just as if you were using a hot shoe mounted flash. Your main problem is how to position the flash to get the right effect.
