Does the LA-DC52G Powershot A700 lens adapter fit any of the popular Canon lenses or just WC-DC58N, TC-DC58N and 250D? (i.e. if I were to invest in an SLR eventually, do not need extra lenses)

The LA-DC52G is a conversion lens adapter that you NEED to use in conjunction with the conversion 'lenses' that you can buy for point and shoot cameras like the A700. It allows you to add them onto the END of the lens. These so called lenses are nothing at all like the proper lenses used on a dSLR, so you can forget about using them.
If you buy a dSLR you will NEED to buy proper lenses which have a mount that enables you to attach (screw on) to the camera body.
