How did digital cameras change the world and the way we live?

plz help

I think it's allowed people the ability to record an image and then be able to share it immediately. Whereas the old chemical film process required lots of time to process the film to print. You can freeze an image and sent it digitally to another location, around the world in seconds. Digital imagery also allows us to modify the picture in almost endless possibilities.

Although the standard ways of photography hasn't changed it's the amount of options we have now. It's brought out more users of cameras. We've become more creative.

With that said, I don't think the world changed; only how we apply use Digital imagery in our lives.

Hey,

You see, when there were only film cameras, people had max. 36 shots on one film. That means that they took less pictures because they didn't just press the shutter button all the time. You paid for your film, you had to use it wisely. And what mattered before, was mostly which film you're using, not the camera (talking about normal SLR cameras, like Praktica L).

Now, when it's digital, almost everyone has a camera. You see tourists taking photographs of a boring statue, just because it's there. They won't even look at the photo again. Same with movie recording. Today, tourists record 2 hours long videos about which buildings they saw in NY or Paris. And who is gonna watch that? Again, years ago, you had a few minutes to record and you didn't just record all the time.

More and more people buy cameras with more megapixels because they think that's the only thing that matters to them. So, Digital cameras definitely brought a change to camera companies - more money.

Plus, people on facebook, myspace etc. buy cameras so they can upload photos on net.

They haven't changed the way we live tho, heh.
